Our
Program
is designed to meet all types of needs. We offer you different
opportunities, depending on your level of Spanish. All instruction
has been developed on a basis of:
one teacher to one student,
5 hours of classes per day.
Beginner courses Informal classes are given
to students that provide an elementary level of Spanish in a
short period. The systematic and progressive courses teach the
students the basic grammatical structures of Spanish, with an emphasis on spoken Spanish and having fun.
Intermediate courses These allow
students to advance to levels of Spanish in which they are comfortable with
everyday conversation.
Advanced courses These courses teach
higher levels of grammar and cover more advanced aspects of the
language through Latin American literature.
At the beginning, your teacher will evaluate your level
orally and at the end of each week, if desired, you will take
a written exam to determine what you have learned.

| Our
Teachers
All of the teachers at Utatlan are licensed teachers and have received
special training prior to their hiring. They are dynamic and friendly
teachers committed to teaching you Spanish the easy way. Their principal
objective is to work with the students at their own pace while keeping
their interests in mind. |
We

morning: 8:00-13:00
afternoon:
14:00-19:00

Our
families
Staying with a Guatemalan family will give you the chance to learn
first hand about the Guatemalan culture and practice your Spanish
outside of the school. Our families are all 5-10 minutes walk from the the school and provide students with lodging,
three meals a day and an enjoyable, interesting experience. |
